Information for Return Problem 1Return Problem 1 (RP-1) is available for you to "pick-up" and prepare. Students should acquire the information and forms ONLINE. Please try soon in order that I may assist you should you experience difficulties.
Here's what you need to do:
Here are some links which you may find useful now or later:
- Download and print the instructions for RP-1. (You will need an Adobe Acrobat Reader which is free and readily available on the Internet -- even on the IRS site. You may already have it installed on your computer. If not, please download and install it. It is a great piece of software and will be useful for other applications as well.)
- Download and print the "Hints for ALL Return Problems." Read, re-read, and follow these instructions in the preparation for ALL the return problems this semester and increase the score which you earn!
- Go to the IRS website and download and print TWO forms 1040EZ for 2009 mentioned at the top of the instructions for RP-1. Be sure to follow the instructions for 2009 including standard deduction and exemption amounts.
- Note while at the IRS site that instructions for 1040EZ and selected other forms are also available online. It would be your choice to view them online, print them, or simply realize they are there should you need them.
- If you have not already done so, consider downloading the Acrobat Reader from the IRS site while you are there.
- Complete the two forms 1040EZ for 2009 and have them ready to turn in when due.
